There's just something inherently cool about seeing things up close.

New Growth

I spotted this tiny plant growing out of a fallen tree while shooting a nearby waterfall. It was the only thing besides moss that was growing from resting giant, and I was especially drawn to the leaves. The curled and dead now being replaced by new growth. The cycle continues.

This is one of those happy accidents. I mean, I meant to take the photo, but I certainly did not expect it to turn out like this.

Autumn is Here

There's nothing quite like that first day of autumn. The air is cooler, the leaves have started to fall, and the sunsets... ohhh, the sunsets! This was the first sign that Autumn had arrived in 2021. A small orange and red maple leaf that had fallen among green ferns.
